FCAL supports a variety of research, conservation, and outreach initiatives that foster collaboration among students, researchers, professionals, and community partners. Our projects focus on advancing conservation knowledge, addressing regional environmental challenges, and creating opportunities for hands-on learning and professional development. Through these initiatives, FCAL helps build meaningful partnerships while promoting positive outcomes for biodiversity conservation and sustainable resource management across the Caribbean and beyond.

Supporting local conservation efforts through species monitoring, data analysis, and the development of standardized monitoring protocols in partnership with organizations such as the Gaea Conservation Network.
Advancing Regional Conservation Efforts
Contributing to regional initiatives, including the Grenada Dove Conservation Action Plan, through collaboration with conservation organizations and experts across the Caribbean.
Cross-Boundary Conservation Conversations
Facilitating knowledge exchange and collaboration between students, researchers, and conservation professionals from different countries and institutions.
Technical Skills Workshops
Providing hands-on training opportunities in areas such as bird banding, ecological restoration, species monitoring, land development and conservation issues, field research methods, and other practical conservation skills.
Industry Partnerships & Technical Expertise
Providing scientific expertise and evidence-based recommendations to industry partners on wildlife management, biodiversity conservation, monitoring programs, and best management practices.
Conference Participation Support
Recognizing St. George's University Marine, Wildlife and Conservation Biology students who demonstrate excellence in academics, research, leadership, outreach, and professional activities.

An initiative currently in development to establish a secure platform for sharing and preserving conservation data, methods, protocols, and resources to support collaboration and long-term accessibility.
