Grenada Dove Conservation Action Plan

The Grenada Dove Conservation Action Plan (2026–2035) provides a science-based roadmap for the recovery of Grenada's national bird, one of the world's rarest and most endangered dove species. Developed through a multi-stakeholder planning process involving government agencies, NGOs, researchers, universities, and local communities, the plan outlines seven strategic objectives focused on habitat protection and restoration, invasive predator management, research and monitoring, policy and legislative reform, public education, sustainable financing, and community-based conservation. The overarching goal is to increase the Grenada Dove population by 2035 while safeguarding its dry forest habitat, strengthening institutional collaboration, and fostering national pride and stewardship for Grenada's unique biodiversity.
